Getting to know the author

Good evening and welcome, I'm your Author Drew Yokley. I wanted to make sure I had a post dedicated to telling you about me. I think it's extremely important to have a better understanding of where someone came from. Just in case you ever decided to listen to what I say. 

WHERE

I come from Lee's Summit, MO. A rather large city inside of Missouri. I have lived here my entire life.

EDUCATION

I'm currently a high-schooler (Junior - 11th) at Lee's Summit West High School. I also attend an off-campus tech school called Summit Tech Academy. This tech school is the first half of my day. While my sending school is my 4th-7th hour. 

CAREERS

This might come as a shock to a first-time reader, but I would love to get into the publishing industry or the tech field. At the moment with the amazing opportunity of the off-campus tech school, I'm leaning toward the tech path. However, I have the drive to become an entrepreneur and have started a couple of my own businesses in the past, some are still up and running. Of course, however, I am only 17 and I'm sure things will change. It also might be worth adding my interest in politics and modern global issues. I try to stay on top of things in the world and form my own opinions. I would have loved to become a politician until I saw what was happening to the world. With that said don't be shocked if I ever write a political piece. 

FAMILY

I come from an average "nuclear family". One mother, one father, and one annoying younger sister. Their names will stay private until they decide otherwise. Now outside of my direct family is anything but "nuclear". I am lucky enough to have an insanely large family. Almost all of my grandparents have been divorced and remarried with kids in each marriage. Most have done it twice. What that means is I have a lot of cousins. Which I am sure I'll talk about at some point. 

INTEREST / HOBBIES

On to the important things, my interest. Now, this should give you some idea of what my post will be about (no promises), but I will have a specific section where I go more in-depth about what the post will be about and some main topics.

Technology

As I briefly mentioned I go to an off-campus tech school. I study software, at the moment C++. This is not my only interest in technology. I also love advancing tech and people's lives and large companies and their plans; ex: Tesla and anything involving the 'Roadster'. I also enjoy various video games, right now I am stuck on Valorant. I have probably poured too much money into a "free game". Since I game I know a lot about; gaming keyboards, mice, headsets, and actual computer specs. If you would ever like to have me rank or go into detail about said topics be sure to let me know.

Cars

Pretty self-explanatory. I like cars, specifically electric cars (at the moment), but I love JDM, and supercars. I don't pick and choose. I am not, however, that informed on cars, so I will not be posting about them. If you do want to know what my favorite car is, be sure to ask it changes all the time. 

Men's Fashion

Well to clarify when I say "men" I specifically mean high-schoolers trying to become men. I think my first in-depth blog post will be about fashion. Now fashion is a personal opinion, but it happens to be something I care about. This could include basic tips or in-depth reviews I am not one hundred percent sure yet.

Books

Everyone's favorite. BOOKS! Not only do I think reading is mentally healthy for you. I think they also lead to better success in life. When I finish a book you will hear about it. I would love all of your book suggestions and I am probably making book lists in the future. Let me know if you have any ideas for book lists.

Lifestyle

Anything related to travel, skincare, mental health, and life in general I have an interest in it. I would love to share the things that have worked for me and help you. Most of my "lifestyle" interest is just about how I want to live, but I might help you which motivates me to write about it even more.

Career-Building

I not only need career-building skills, but I also know kids my age do as well. I specifically will look more into the careers I'm going into. However, I would never turn down the opportunity to help someone else. 

There you go, a quick guide to getting to know me. I hope I sparked some interest in you. I do know it starts messing, but hopefully, I can build on my skills and off my suggestions and move forward. Looking forward to being your writer.  I appreciate you for reading about me.
